Nov 25, Re: Removing control arm bushings (axle side) The press will definately help. You may need the master adapter set that harbor freight has if the adapters in your set don't work with the bushing size. I'm sure you had the axle at its lowest point so tool clearance shouldn't be an issue but please do keep this in mind.

The Jeep Wrangler death wobble refers to a vibration that can be caused by your track bar bushings, collars, or brackets which makes the axle want to free itself from your Wrangler.

Check out the track bar bushings. If they are in poor condition, replace them. If your bracket is loose, tighten it.

A little penetrating oil daily until the day chosen to attack again will help and should achieve success.

Jan 03, After ensuring you have no burrs inside the track bar, smear the Energy Suspension grease in there. Use a round file if necessary to de-burr the track bar. Press the bushings into the track bar. Lubricate the inner sleeve, and press it in. We used a hammer to finish seating the sleeve. Reinstall the axle end of the track bar.

Sep 26, Luckily I have access to machining lathes. The trac bar Bolt hole was wallowed out to a size hole. The bolt is a 10mm. The stabilizer mounting bolt hole was wallowed to a over a 1/2″. I had a guy turn me a set of bushings for both holes. I had to actually make the trac bar hole bigger to gain wall thickness in that bushing.
